Aranyak Dipu Memorial Award
A promising young actor and make-up artist Aminul Ehsan Deepu died of jaundice at the age of 28. He was also a talented actor and was gradually becoming enamored with modern make-up. His unexpected death shook the team deeply. This death created a deep painful situation in the landscape of the whole country. There is a great void in our team. Aranyak Dipu Memorial Award was announced in 1997, the first death anniversary of Deepu, remembering Deepu’s contribution and love to the team.
Amimul Ehsan Deepu
(28 October 1969 – 18 August 1996)
The bird that woke us up. The boy who peered in amazement at the foot lamp of the stage in the rehearsal room called him to burn to death. Then one day how he became one of the stage. He was then a lively Tosbag youth. But it disappeared suddenly. ‘Deh pot son not sakli haray’ – like Nazim Hikmat’s poem, the life expectancy of a mourner in the 20th century is one year. Yet Deepu calls us again and again, an irresistible attraction draws us to him. What is the charm of the poor? And so Dipu returns to us as the source of life. Aranyak Dipu Memorial Padak is an endless journey to add life to that life…
